Gajar Halwa Ice Cream

We're taking a classic summer dessert to the next level! Ice Cream! Gajar Halwa is a dessert made with carrots caramelized in milk, sugar, cardamom and other spices. Using our handy Gajar Halwa packet, you can make this fusion Ice Cream with just one more ingredient! It's perfect as a creamy popsicle or even to scoop onto a warm cake or cookie. If you were looking for an easy summer dessert to bring to a BBQ or to the next potluck, we got you covered!

 

INGREDIENTS 

Ice Cream

  • Gajar Halwa packet
  • Heavy whipping cream
  • Popsicle maker/small cups (optional)

Toppings (optional)

  • Melted white chocolate 
  • Chopped Almonds & Pistachios
  • Saffron
  • Rose petals

 

DIRECTIONS

  1. Make The Gajar Halwa: Cook the Gajar Halwa according to instructions, all you need is hot water and 5 min. 
  2. Blend Ice Cream: Add 1/4 cup of heavy whipping cream to the cooled down Gajar Halwa. Blend the Gajar Halwa and whipping cream together to create a milky consistency. Spoon in more heavy cream if necessary.
  3. Freeze Ice Cream: Pour mix into popsicle mold, small cups, or a container (Ice cream is great in any form!) Freeze for a few hours or over night.
  4. Prepare and Sprinkle Toppings: Sprinkle whatever toppings you would like and enjoy!
